Business Horoscopes for the Year of the Monkey!

Nurenu Brand Marketing, Year of the Monkey, Business MonkeyThis is the year of the Fire Monkey according to the Chinese Zodiac, and here at Nurenu, we just wanted to make sure that you were ready for what’s about to come. Therefore we did what any caring marketing firm would do, and we compiled and synthesized the various predictions from around the internet. So without further ado: your general business horoscope through January 27th, 2017.

The Monkey provides positive entrepreneurial and artistic influences, but it’s easy to go overboard- so start those new projects, but be sure to think them through first! Signs point to more women in power this year, (no really! And as a female-owned company, we fully support that!), as well as the possibility for over-reaching and accidents of carelessness, so be vigilant.

The most detailed predictions are, of course, based on what year you were born in. We decided that that meant what year your business was born. Nurenu was born in 2007, the year of the pig! So we’ll start there. Without further ado, what to watch for by year:

Pig (1995, 2007):

Pigs are the belles of the ball in the year of the Monkey- so reach out near and far for connections, and don’t turn down any opportunities to collaborate- it’s amazing what a fresh blog voice or some cross-branding can do!

Rat (1996, 2008):

Rats are a Monkey’s best friend- you provide the grounding influences for the Monkey’s high-flying ideas, so embrace your role as the realist- someone needs to talk about return on investment!

Ox (1997, 2009):

Ox tend to be slow and steady, but the year of the Monkey is a great time for a change of responsibilities or scenery, expanding your product offerings or reaching out to customers in new locations could really pay off!

Tiger (1998, 2010):

Look before you leap, since Tigers are the Monkey’s opposite and can be misled this year, and you don’t want to sign up for twelve services your employees won’t use!

Rabbit (1999, 2011):

This is the year to unleash your creative expression, so consider a rebranding, or new and unique ways to get your message out, but be sure to take breaks and rest to keep your balance in the face of Monkey’s energy!

Dragon (2000, 2012):

This is Dragon’s lucky year, so be sure to say yes to all your opportunities, since this should be your year to succeed in business!

Snake (2001, 2013):

Another lucky sign, Snakes should reach out, either personally or by increasing their web presence, since their efforts will be well received- as long as they’re careful to go for the right opportunities!

Horse (2002, 2014):

A year of adventures, new journeys, and excitement for Horses, you’ll want to pay attention to your core customers since it can sometimes be a bit much, so watch out, particularly over the summer!

Sheep (2003, 2015):

A fast-paced year can lead to extravagances that Sheep should beware of, so rather than keeping up with the Joneses, focus your efforts and action on raising awareness of your current offerings!

Monkey (2004, 2016):

This is your year, so take action and enjoy the strong, fiery yang energy as you start new projects, move into new technologies and spaces, and seek new horizons!

Rooster (1993, 2005):

Take a chance on creating a new marketing campaign, developing a new product, or moving forward with an initiative you’ve been dying to try, because in a fire year you very quickly figure out what works and what doesn’t for you!

Dog (1994, 2006):

Enthusiasm is great, and something you have in abundance, so just be sure to temper it with realism while you create a larger presence in your market and add to your accomplishments!
